Chp.1 Blue

Cuddy sat on the edge of her bath staring at the latest pregnancy test.

Blue.

The tears started again, tears of joy but of anger aswell. If this pregnancy failed it would be her third miscarraige this year.
She had to phone someone, get it off her chest. Picking up her cell phone off her lap she punched in House's number.

"Cuddy! How nice of you to phone, you never phone! Now you are probably phoning to tell me I have a case, yes?"

"House you don't have a case," Cuddy croaked wiping the tears away

"Well what is it then, phoned to have a generally chit chat?"

"Im... pregnant"

House stopped. Pregnant. What?

"The injections worked and I'm over 12 weeks so hopefully no miscarraige. House?"

"Yees, yees. Sorry just day dreaming."

"Ok. I'll see you tomorrow"

"Well....." House stopped he couldn't make it to obvious, Cuddy would guess

"Well what?"

"Well I guees I'll see you tomorrow then"

Cuddy stared at the phone. He didn't just hang up on her did he?

House walked into Cuddy's office, making sure the door was shut behind him. "House? Why are you in soo early?" Cuddy asked yawning. "Had to tell you something before the Ducklings got here." "Ok. Sit down." House sat down, wiped his forehead and caught Cuddy's gaze. "Cuddy... I...." "For goodness sake House just spit it out" "I'm the father of the baby" Cuddy stopped writing and lifted the eys to House's letting her mouth drop open. "Your what?" "Your, I mean our babys dad" House gulped rubbing his sweating palms together on his lap. "If this is some practical joke House then you are seriously screwed." "I'm not joking Lisa" House said, "Well Gregory, care to explain?" "When I was getting the injections ready for you, I could tell the man was blank, you weren't going to get pregnant and you woud just get disappointed again, so I kind of swapped them...." "Oh god House! What the heck am I suppose to do?!?!?" "Keep quiet, just say the donor was a succes and only you and I have to know. And for goodness sake don't even think about telling Wilson!" "Tell Wilson what?" Wilson asked, sticking his head round the door "That your on clinic duty" Cuddy said, frowning at House as he bit his lip. Wilson left and Cuddy stood up, walking round her desk to face House. Standing on her tip toes you gave House a soft kiss on his cheeck. Smiling to him she left her office. House recognized the smile from that night at college. How time flies.
