House Season 1, Episode 21 "Three Stories" - Dr. House teaches a class in a diagnosis about three different types of leg pain. We see his ex-girlfriend, Stacy, and discover the story behind his leg.
House Season 2, Episode 11 "Need to Know" -After extensive rekindling of their relationship and a one-night stand, House pushes Stacy out of his life for a second time, using the excuse that he'll never be able to do the things that her husband can do to make her happy.
House Season 2, Episode 24 "No Reason" - Dr. House is shot and needs to learn the difference between reality and his hallucinations. House's mind, in the form of Jack Moriarty, forces him to confront his own hidden insecurities and true, covert personality.
House Season 3, Episode 12 "One Day, One Room" -Dr. Gregory House treats a victim of rape and develops a kind of "friendship" with her. In the end of the episode we learn that House was abused as a child by his father, who made him take ice baths and sleep outside.
House Season 3, Episode 16 "Top Secret" -House has semi-clairvoyant dreams about his new patient, who turns out to be an old boyfriend of Cuddy's. This is the first episode where we are actually told that Cuddy and House spent at least one night together. We also learn that House's vicodin addiction is beginning to wreak havoc on his body. He resorts to self-catheterization to relieve his distended bladder.
House Season 4, Episode 11 "Frozen" - The warmer half of House's personality makes another rare appearance as he confides in Dr. Cate Milton, a psychiatrist based in the South Pole.
House Season 4, Episode 16 "Wilson's Heart" - Dr. House willingly undergoes a life-threatening procedure in order to save Wilson's girlfriend Amber, widening a fracture in his skull and throwing him into a coma. In a vision while still comatose, he tells Amber that he would rather remain this way or die, because he's sick of being miserable and in pain. He doesn't know how to apologize to Wilson for being partly responsible in her death. The episode ends with Wilson meeting House's eye from outside his hospital room, but being unable to go in. Wilson walks away, leaving House looking hurt.
House Season 5, Episode 6 "Joy" -After Cuddy gets a baby taken away from her, House comes to see her, she is in tears. They kiss but then House walks out leaving her there with a shocked look on her face
House Season 5, Episode 16 "The Softer Side" -Cuddy and Wilson think House is up to something because he is being nice. After House stops breathing and nearly dies, Wilson is sure House is on heroin. Turns out he's on methadone--which has completely eliminated his pain! But when House messes up a case, he decides that his diagnostic genius is more important that a lack of pain. He stops the methadone, saying to Cuddy: "This is the only me you get." | |
