I don't see that "House" is losing any steam so I can't imagine there wouldn't be a season 6..... the show has a huge fan base and some great laughs and acting. Maybe House will find a love interest or Stacy will come back and they'll hook up again. 6 out of 6 found this valuable. Do you? |

Didn't I read somewhere here that Robert Sean Leonard just resigned for three more years? That would imply that the entire team of producers and writers expect the series to go that far and we would indeed have a season 6 AND a season 7. I do have a secret fear that the show might run out of steam if it goes on too long, à la ER. I also wish that the team decides to end it at some point as opposed to having FOX just plain cancel it. That way, the writers can give us a grand finale they can prepare well in advance.

Yup, theres going to be a season 6.as long as they don't pull a Seprano finale. I don't watch it but I heard what they did, & I feel so bad for those fans. They just ended it with a black screen, not really finishing the story, from what I heard anyways. . 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

Most people didn't understand the subtlety of that Soprano final scene. The black screen only confused everyone because it lasted a tad too long. Intentionally, I suppose.That said, I can't imagine House ending that way. It might make for an interesting discussion to see how fans think the show should end. 3 out of 5 found this valuable. FOX cancelled a few cool shows like FIREFLY and FUTURAMA, and that sucks...FOX has some great shows, such as HOUSE and BONES, but they also killed some good ones.

I think that House is no where near its ending point but, that being said, this show is so great that I hope it goes out on a high note with a bang with a proper ending and not drag it on until people do not care any more.

Oh I know what you mean! When it is time for it to end I want it to be a great finale Not that I want the end to be anytime soon :] Well at least we have to season 7 but I really hope it goes on longer--and it says something that the cast is still together so few shows go on this long with the same cast

"They did that with Brimstone and The Lone Rangers too a few years back. FOX always had and still has a very short fuse. They don't give shows a long time to grow an audience. They use what Chase once called the spaghetti approach. They throw a lot of stuff on the wall and see what sticks. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

FOX, however, is notorious for it. FIREFLY and FUTURAMA both have huge cult followings and have become even more popular since their demise...BRIMSTONE was cool, too. I remember that show. Some have said that FOX hates science fiction, and that's why the F & F were cancelled. That is pure speculation, though.

Yes, shows like Futurama have a group of dedicated fans, but the shows never really got into full swing in the eyes of the general public. True, HOUSE has a universal appeal. Medical dramas are popular and House is a unique character. It is, however, science fiction in a twisted around sense...It's science, and it's fiction. ;) hahahaha
