The current team
Feb 23 2009, 10:03 PM EST | Post edited: Feb 23 2009, 10:03 PM EST
They have no substance. The two men have the personality of a dead bush. Thirteen and Foreteen are rammed down our throat and that leaves Cuddy and Wilson (and of course House), the only entertainment left. I don't know what to say, the show is way off course from the original that I loved so much. The many sides of Cameron were interesting. The tension between Chase and House was also interesting. There is really nothing interesting about Foreman. Thirteen has her moments but this show is really lacking entertainment value without Cameron and Chase. Again, sorry for the negativity...... 10  out of 12 found this valuable. Do you?

I wasn't fond of them at the beginning, but thirteen and Kutner are sort of starting to grow on me, but I agree the original team had better entertainment value. I would personally prefer to see more Kutner, less Foreman... but that's personal opinion. 10  out of 11 found this valuable. Do you?

I couldn't agree more. I was so happy when I thought Foreman was fired, but then they dragged him back into the team. I loved the interplay amongst Chase, Cameron and House, but all that's gone now, and I really miss it. The Foreman character is boring, and I'm not impressed in the least with the actor who portrays him. 9  out of 10 found this valuable. Do you?

I like Kutner well enough, the character has some pretty good insights and the expressions on his face are priceless, so if we HAVE to have a new team, he's tolerable. But I really do miss the old days with Chase and Cameron. I agree about seeing less Foreman -- I wish they'd get rid of him altogether. I don't like the character and I don't think the actor is any great shakes, either. 7  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

Kutner is the only one of the new team that I enjoy. Taub annoys me and every episode as of late, I keep hoping that Thirteen will finally die from Huntington's. The whole focus on Fourteen is utterly tiresome. I find that lately, half the episode is really enjoyable and the other half (which revolves around Fourteen) makes me want to flip channels and watch reruns of "Leave it to Beaver". It's sad really. I thoroughly enjoy most of the characters, but it seems the show has jumped the shark. I hope it can jump back. 8  out of 8 found this valuable. Do you?

I find that this team also takes away from House (Hugh Laurie), there are far less moron's and idiot's to go around. The comedy side of the drama has fallen way off. The guessing game is also gone. Cameron was like a cute puppy. She was loyal to House because she loved him, yet she could turn into a really tough character. You never really knew who ratted House out to Cuddy when he broke the rules. Was it Chase, Cameron, Foreman? Foreman wasn't all powerful, he was challenged by Cameron and Chase and it pissed Foreman off. The symptom board is gone. Right now this show hinges on Cuddy, Wilson and House. All good characters and actors depend on a great supporting cast. They keep the original team in the opening credits, I hope they will explode back onto the scene as soon as something happens to thirteen. The show needs Chase because House didn't like him, but he is a great Doctor. Cameron was the glue, you didn't ever know what to expect from her except for caring for House. More episodes are going by where you don't even see Chase or Cameron. Do you think they wanted a break? Their off screen personal on and off relationship. I just don't understand. Taub is a tool......Kutner is a little funny but it's because like a earlier poster said. He is mentally 10. I look forward to episodes just because of Hugh Laurie. David Shore needs to get his head out of the sand. 9  out of 10 found this valuable. Do you?

So right on the dull team! I can't stand Foreteen any longer! Last night was just about the last straw! I love House but if we must endure the "couple" anymore then I must refrain from watching. Does anyone care about our wishes? 10  out of 10 found this valuable. Do you?

Yes, it's getting to that point with me, too. I dread any scene with Foreman in it, and it makes me want to puke having to watch 'Foreteen' all the time. Thirteen should croak and get it over with, already. Bring back Chase and Cameron, ditch Foreman, Thirteen and Taub, and let Kutner hang around for comic relief (he's so clueless, which is his only charm and the only saving grace for the character's continued presence on the show).

As for anyone caring about our wishes, I doubt that the creative team even bother to skim our posts, or even have some sort of research assistant do it for them. They're going to do what they think will make ratings. If people stop watching, then maybe they'll get the message. I find myself switching channels to Food Network whenever Foreteen show their faces . . .

I'm afraid we're going to have to deal with having Foreman around for reasons that need not be discussed but losing 13 and Taub, bring Chase and Cameron back would deflate his character to a more tolerable level. They keep his power in check and expand the foundation of the show that we all came to love. The episodes I'm watching now just don't make me "crave" the show like I used to. I have the first four seasons on DVD but I'm finished until they fix this current situation. I watch reruns on USA.........I hope you're wrong 1978, I sure hope they do skim the forums. 7  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

I the reasons that should not be mentioned and I guess I am one of the thought that MAYBE we are fed up with having certain things pushed in our faces on a daily basis.
I want Chase and Cameron back.

I'm fairly certain you and I are on the same page when it comes to those 'reasons' -- and we have to deal with this sort of thing being pushed in our faces on WAY too many shows the past few years, but there's nothing we can do about it. I just thought that the HOUSE people were above all that, but I guess I was wrong.

Oh, AMEN. Like I said in another post, this sort of thing is being shoved down our throats on far too many shows of late, but I thought the people making HOUSE were better than that, but they, too, drank the KoolAid.

I'm finding myself doing the same thing, Tony. I'm enjoying the reruns more than the new eps. There was a lot more depth to the older seasons, not this shallow, in-yer-face, transparent attempt to force-feed us the currently popular agenda. The latest episodes are medically formulaic, and there's little new going on with House himself. I really miss Cameron and Chase. Having them 'just out of reach' in different areas of the hospital gives the writers the chance to gratuitously bring them in briefly here and there to string fans along, but it's so predictable that it brings nothing to the show and does their characters a huge disservice.

I hope this isn't the beginning of the end for the series, because if the writers can't get their collective acts together, House is going right down the tubes -- or to put it in hospital parlance, it's already CTD (Circling the Drain).

I know shows like ER maintained its popularity with many cast changes but ER was adrenaline based with very little story lines, however it was awful when the original cast left (Anthony Edwards, Sherry Stringfield, etc.). I could understand George Clooney, Hollywood wanted him on the big screen. House, however is driven by a story line and backed up by medical drama and adrenaline. Polar opposites ER and House. ER survived 15 years still with positive ratings. The way House is designed, it really can't deal with main character turnover, especially from fans that have watched from the beginning. New fans will not get "into" House the way we did. The character 'House' is almost on vacation. The viscious and complex twisted circle now has a lull in it. This is a robot team led by Foreman. House takes second seat. This is unacceptable to me. In case anyone is wondering, I'll tell you straight up. This is not a race thing, but in a way it is. I have no problem with Foreman personally, but his position is safe as long as he wants it. I just want the main characters back for the more interesting House that we all know and love. I'm also trying to keep this toward the top for more input. Maybe a hired web sweeper from Fox will see our displeasure. Please chime in if you're happy with this current team. I've just been very curious as to how people who love the show feel about this. Thanks. 5  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?
