House does have someone who understands him and accepts him for who he is...Wilson! that is the greatest relationship on the show. The beginning of the season showed us how great their relationship is. Whether the relationship is a friendship or a bromance it's the greatest one that House has. Wilson's relationship with House is more powerful than death! That's why I think it was best that Wilson was with him until the end. What I'm wondering, is this the same hospital that Wilson's brother is in? I didn't get a chance to look but Wilson's brother was a Mercy right? 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"I feel the same way, as it needs to be brought out into the open more, and this show is teaching that anyone can have a mental illness... even someone as intelligent as House."I agree. Mental illness is not just a matter of your IQ. It's the way your brain functions. It's so many things. Do you find this valuable? |

OMG! I absolutely loved this episode! At first, I went into total shock over the ending. I had been watching it in my dad's room and walked out into the living room and shouted OMG, and he asked me what, and I didn't know what to say, so I just walked out of the room. Weird, right? At first I was kind of in a panic, because the episode felt so final, almost as if it was the show's entire finale, but I reassured myself that they have already started talking about the next season, so that couldn't be the end. I thought the whole time that I would be upset if they did the whole hallucination thing with the finale, but I actually loved it. Kudos to them! I now diagnose that I will die within two weeks of anticipation for the next season to begin. Lol. I guess I'll just have to cure it with watching re-runs and reading fanfiction. I loved the ending with Cameron and Chase getting married. I had been crying for a couple of minutes by that point, and I was half crying for happiness over them, and total saddness over House. I think the writers did an amazing job with this episode! I thank them for another fantastic season finale!

What if the hulicination of House thinking he was hulicinating about what happened with Cuddy and going to the psych ward was still part of the hulicination from him detoxing from the pills. Also could Kutner's suicide all part of the same hulicination, or was it Kutner's suicide that cause him to have a nervous breakdown Do you find this valuable? |

I am thouroughly dissapointed in this episode. It right ticked me off. I know it wasn't a dream that they had sex, but it might as well have been. Rip off.I did like Cameron's & chase' wedding though. Do you find this valuable? |

wow I had not expected that at all; cuddy getting mad almost made me cry; she looked so hurt, arg and the ending... so they not only did not have sex, but House is all the way over to a mental hospital; no huddy moments to dream up, cep maybe phone calls and visits... but until the next season all anyone will be writing is angst.. blehOh well loved it, the house writers are genius. What a twist huh? Do you find this valuable? |

Fantastic ending! The writers took a huge risk, and I love them for it! One Wiki contributor who hated the episode had a concern that House would no longer be allowed to practice medicine. Time in a psychiatric facility doesn't necessarily mean a loss of his license, especially issues relating to drug dependency or depressive disorders. I knew a prominent physician who attempted suicide and was sent away privately to a psychiatric facility for nearly a month. He returned to his position afterwards. (Unfortunately, he did end up committing suicide.) It seems like the show is really focusing on drug addiction as the cause here, exacerbated by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder to explain the hallucinations. That will make the upcoming season fascinating! House is not clinically insane, but will not be well enough to practice, either. Of course, the next season could begin with him returning to the hospital after a stint at the facility. Who knows? Where should we send the flowers?

WOW!!!!!! I was totally shocked. I was wrong about Chace and Cameron's wedding. But OMG, I have so many questions. Did House hallucination sleeping with Cuddy?? If so then why did she come to his office?? Also did House have an absent seizure in Cuddy's office when he saw Kutner?? Has any one seen Wilson look as scared as he did when Cuddy and House came in to his office?? As for House checking into the psych hospital I think that House will use a fake name or Cuddy will maybe pay him under the table.

Tonight's episode put the sequence in a different order than last weeks...This week's episode had Cuddy leaving her office after House said a pretty cruel statment...about her going home and suckling her child....SO, in this weeks recap of the sceen, he never says "I need you"....He starts to hallucinate beginning last week and end up hallucinating about his detox, his Cuddy moument, the patient with the left/right problem and does not come out of it til he is again in Cuddies office ..right? BTY...last week, didn't he get an RX for sleeping pills from Wilson and Cuddy? I was thinking we were to believe he was stocking up the pills.... 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

One thing I still don't understand is...from Episode 23, House admitted that the hallucinations were from overdose, and he hallucinated that he was detoxing while in reaility he was still taking Vicodin. How is he all of a sudden going to a mental hospital?? Can't it still be Vicodin overdose considering he never detoxed? When was Vicodin overdose ruled out?? 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Checking into a psych hospital doesnt prevent him from practicing medicine, but being on anti-psychotic medicine will. As for my thoughts on the finale...the writers painted a picture that could never come true in this show, at least not until it's end. House and Cuddy cannot be in a romantic relationship as it would destroy a great deal of the tension and drama on which the show has built a loyal following. This episode was very sad, and I am surprised we didnt see even a tear from House in Cuddy's office. Regardless of what viewers may think, his character is deeply in love with Cuddy, and its real to him. Seeing that his mind played the cruelest trick on him was painful to watch, and I am honestly shocked that the pain was not fully brought to life through a tear or something more human. Instead we were left with the same sadden dark-side of house instead of the man who is losing his mind and madly in love with a woman he cannot have at any price. I love this show, regardless of my disappointment tonight...hands down my favorite show of all time. Do you find this valuable? |

A NO-SH*T SHERLOCK AND A NO-FOO ROCKFORD. I am House-like in that I love to say I told you so, I am right and all of you idiots are wrong, and in certain fields of endeavor, as the program demonstrates, it’s necessary for some individuals to pull this off often. So at his moment I am happy to take a little bow and do a little territorial peeing on my prediction of last week that the culmination of the recent plot elements and scattered clues would have to add up to a Kutner Was Murdered/House Did It climax. K made his first appearance since his untimely death tonight, saying only “Too bad it isn’t true,” and looking plenty pissed off. I couldn’t have said it better myself. I hope we see more of K—maybe they can set up a blue screen and take care of business with a Handycam in the West Wing when Kal Penn isn’t too busy liasoning. The clues were all there, as long as you were wearing your Nirvana-is-the-recent-center-of-the-pop-culture-universe decoder ring. And come on folks, the show’s lineage is from Conan Doyle, not “General Hospital.” I’ll get excited about a Cuddy-House hook-up when they release an X-rated outtake, but not until. Why look for a simple explanation to the issues around H’s huge ego, when sorry, that just won’t do? CONTINUES... Do you find this valuable? |

At least one other detail I should mention is the only crime scene object (other than family photos) that H and W discussed, that being the “Colonial Warrior Blaster Number One-one,” a showcased collectible looking quite like the sci-fi laser gun on the cover of the first Foo Fighters LP. Because Kurt Cobain died of a gunshot wound (from a Remington Model 11, all according to popular belief), this was somewhat controversial, but the Foo folks really freaked when I critiqued the art on the flip side, seeing it as representative of a load of double-ought-buck exiting the crown of a skull (correct number of balls, and just the right size). I was even summoned to an across-town meeting with upset Foo personnel, whom I told “I hope this doesn’t turn out like some kind of ‘Rockford Files’ thing” (Jim Rockford, from the first episode, was always catching a beat-down when showing up for ostensibly friendly meetings). I didn’t buy their explanation that the image was purely abstract, told them so, and Foo hostility was soon forthcoming. CONTINUES...

It’s not like the program is totally laced with thinly veiled music references, but I couldn’t help but notice that House prescribed “try Led Zeppelin” for an air-guitaring patient, and Nirvana’s first ever taped cover jam was Led Zep’s “Heartbreaker.” Oh, and the first song the ailing mime had tried, at length? “China Grove,” by the Doobie Bothers, co-founded by Patrick Simmons, from the “sleepy little town” of Aberdeen, Washington, birthplace of Nirvarna (as it’s sometimes called there). And of course, in the final scene, House enters the Mayfield Clinic, bringing to mind another died-too-soon musician named Curtis (Kurtis). Finally, this finale episode was titled “Both Sides Now,” famously the name of a 1969 Joni Mitchell song, which Cobain widow Courtney Love had covered in her first album in 1991 (as “Clouds”), with Cobain himself using the song’s term “angel hair” in “Heart Shaped Box.” Ms. Love-Cobain has said the Judy Collins cover of the song was a favorite of her quasi-hippie family. ‘Nuf said?Anyway, in case it’s not entirely clear, I’ve really enjoyed these recent programs greatly, and have been a fan of HL since “A Bit of…” , “Jeeves and Wooster” and of course the “Blackadder”s. Congrats to all on a fine season, and since no one else will say it, congrats to me too, a sho-nuf Sherlock, eh? ---Citizen Dick in Sea-town, May 12, 2009, 3:07 AM Do you find this valuable? |

Many summaries I've read miss an important detail... The pill bottle they showed us several times has a label that read "Oxycodone" (though they only let you see the "codone" part).Since House is normally a Vicodin addict, and the show is all about things being "medically relevant", this will potentially impact the story line. Oxycodone is an opioid and Vicodin has similar components, but there must be a pharmacoligcal difference that they'll pin the hallucinations on. Do you find this valuable? |
