Why didn't House diagnose his infarction?

The one thing that's always bothered me is that he was obviously already an accomplished doctor by this point, it's not really believable that he would have accepted the attending doctor's diagnosis and gone home for 3 days while the muscle died. Did they ever explain this? Do you find this valuable?

I think he did diagnos himself I believe. Do you find this valuable?

No, he diagnosed he was about to go into heart failure while in the hospital, but not the infarction/muscle death... Do you find this valuable?

Sorry.. I was thinking of the one where he was telling the class his story and Stacy told them to do the operation that House wouldn't agree to. So I thought that he had diagnosed it, I didn't realize he was there for something else. Do you find this valuable?
