I'm sure the guys all enjoyed it. I'm 40 and don't really watch TV to see strip-club scenes so if the promo had been for shows I didn't already watch, I probably would have decided I wasn't *going* to start watching them based on those promos. And it just continues to tick me off that a show like House, MD thinks it needs to use sex of any kind, whether it be starting up 'ships amongst the characters or having Cuddy do a strip-tease on a pole in House's hallucination is really furthering the message of the original premise of the show. It's sad what producers will do to get that 18-49 age group, and even sadder that apparently people in that age group would rather have shows about sex than substantative television. Now Temperance Brennan in a strip club? LOL! Do you find this valuable? |

Given the current discussion between the shipper fans I thought it was a little much to throw sexy in our face when it obvious that sex rules the shipper fans anyway. The fans are overly hormonal anyway..so FOX doesn't have to worry about that at all, if the ship discussions are any revelation.

I'm on the fence. I think you both have good points, House has enough to hold people's attention without the sex. I guess the only argument I would have is that to be realistic, sex would probably come up at some point, especially since most of the characters were single at the beginning of the series. Does that mean strip clubs? Not necessarily. But in real life would House daydream about Cuddy? You betcha. What I found unbelievable is that all of these shows have had a scene at a strip club. It's like, really? That's a pretty big coincidence. The sexiness of the promo didn't do much for me, but I'm in the wrong demographic. Though, I thought the Bones scene rocked because of the humor. What I did appreciate about the promo is how Fox made it seamless. A lot of networks are cutting corners and cutting costs, and it's noticeable. This was a creative way to do both without making the project suffer. It really looks like one long scene.
